ASB patrols this week

Officers have been conducting enhanced evening patrols in the area surrounding St John’s Church on Upper Glen Road following recent incidents of vandalism.

In recent weeks, a significant number of hours have been dedicated to patrolling the area, engaging with residents, and working to deter crime while gathering information that may help identify those responsible.

Anti-social behaviour (ASB) takes many forms and can have a real impact on the heart of a community; it can include nuisance or rowdy behaviour, vandalism, noise disturbances, vehicle-related issues, groups causing annoyance, and a range of actions that cause harassment, alarm or distress.

We remain committed to addressing these concerns and supporting local residents, reporting anti-social behaviour helps us build a clear picture of when and where issues are occurring, allowing us to respond effectively and put appropriate measures in place.

Hastings Football Club VAWG Event

VAWG event reminder - Saturday 14 March 2026, 1pm.

Join Police and partners at Hastings Football Club on Saturday 14th March 2026 from 1pm.

Working together to combat violence against women and girls (VAWG), we will be on hand to offer advice, information on support and tips on staying safe.

Take away tools to help safeguard women and girls, including personal safety alarms funded and provided by Hastings and Rother Joint Action Groups.

If you feel unsafe or witness violent behaviour, report it online - in an emergency always call 999.

Fatal collision appeal

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road collision on the on the Harley Shute Road, St Leonards, on Tuesday, March 3.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision involving two motorbikes at around 3.50pm.

Despite the efforts of paramedics, the rider of one of the motorbikes, a 50-year-old man from Battle, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

A 49-year-old man from St Leonards was on arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released, and no further action will be taken against him.

Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the collision. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant dash cam footage, to come forward.
